The Chess Club at Penn is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant chess community through learning, training, and collaboration. Our mission is to engage undergrad and grad students in the intellectual and social dimensions of chess while strengthening connections with the broader Philadelphia community.

We host tournaments, workshops, and interactive events that welcome players of all levels to sharpen their skills, share knowledge, and build camaraderie. We also compete at the highest level in the National Collegiate and Inter-Ivy League championships. Our aim is to create a collaborative space where students can grow as players, thinkers, and leaders while contributing to a culture of strategic curiosity and community engagement.
