2016 Pan-American Intercollegiate Chess Championships

The 2016 Pan-American Intercollegiate Chess Championships took place from December 27 - 30 in New Orleans, Louisiana. This event brings teams of 4 representing colleges across America. 

The Penn team finished with a team total of 3.5/6 points. Alternate Vince Moss earned the prize for Top Alternate in the competition. The 2016 Pan-Am team members representing Penn were Simone Liao, Brian Luo, Roman Cano, Gregory Whitehorn, and Vince Moss

The team had a great experience, both on and off the chessboard, playing in 6 rounds of competition and taking trips to downtown New Orleans.
